The Workshop on Probabilistic and Statistical Methods is an initiative of the Programa Interinstitucional de Pós-Graduação em Estatística do ICMC- USP e UFSCar which brings together the statistics research groups from ICMC-USP and UFSCar, at São Carlos/SP, Brazil.

This meeting intends to discuss new developments in statistics, probability and their applications. Activities include invited speakers sessions, short talks, a poster session and a short course devoted to graduate students. The topics of this meeting include probability and stochastic processes, statistical inference, regression models, survival analyses and complex stochastic systems. The aim of the workshop is to stimulate the exchange of experiences with scientific investigation in statistics and probability.
